Your First Visit
Upon entering the office, we have some brief information for you to fill out. This information provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. Since our office is entirely paperless all the questions will be completed on a small table PC.
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.
History and Examination
In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.
Why do we incorporate computerized spinal examinations as part of our diagnostic procedures?
As a modern chiropractic office, we're committed to using state of the art technology for the purpose of detecting and correcting the Vertebral Subluxations. This also assist the doctor in locating your problem and helps in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.
X-rays may be scheduled if necessary. Not all new patients are x-rayed. This is determined on a case by case basis. This is determined from your examination findings, history and any recent traua you may have experienced. If x rays are recommended you will be referred to an outside imaging facility nearby where trained radiologist will review your images and fax a detailed report to our office.
Same Day Treatment
Once finished with the examination and all appropriate tests, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. Various therapies are utilized in order to help get you out of pain as quick as possible and begin the healing process.
Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
