Auto Accident Chiropractic in Duluth
For over 20 years, Duluth Injury & Rehab Center has been offering expert chiropractic and physiotherapy care for patients in the Duluth area who have been injured in car accidents. We have helped thousands of people with acute and chronic pain. In addition to providing our own outstanding care, we also work with other healthcare professionals, including orthopedists, neurologists, and pain management facilities to provide you with the comprehensive care you need to heal. We refer out for X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans to more accurately diagnose your injuries.
Our office will accurately document your injuries and provide a detailed narrative report with daily treatment notes to the insurance company and your attorney, which will be needed to resolve your claim and get you the compensation you deserve.
Why Should People Receive Chiropractic Care Before Doing Anything Else?
By seeing Dr. Hans first after a car accident, each patient can check a few things off their post-accident to-do list. Every patient:
- Undergoes a comprehensive evaluation to detect injuries that may not be immediately apparent.
- Receives a tailored treatment plan focused on recovery and pain relief without reliance on medication.
- Gets proper documentation of their injuries, which is crucial for legal and insurance claims.
- Avoids unnecessary delays that can worsen injuries and impact long-term health.
How Delaying Medical Treatment Can Hurt Your Claim
If there’s one thing to know about insurance companies, it’s that they’re good at finding a reason not to pay the claim. Delaying medical treatment after an accident can provide them with an opportunity to argue that your injuries were not caused by the accident or that they are not severe enough to warrant compensation. Seeking chiropractic care immediately after an accident ensures that your injuries are documented properly and treated before they become chronic issues.
Do I Have to Pay?
With any auto accident, regardless if you were a passenger in a vehicle, the driver, or a pedestrian, the at-fault party’s insurance carrier will pay for your treatment if you are not at fault. This is referred to as liability coverage. In the state of Georgia, everyone is required to carry liability insurance in case they injure another person in an auto accident.
Some people have “medical payment coverage” through their own auto insurance policy. This covers injuries to anyone who is in your vehicle, regardless of who is at fault. In Georgia, this is an option, meaning that not everyone has it. It is a separate addition to your coverage, not to be confused with “bodily injury” coverage. If you do not have “med-pay,” we can still treat you for your injuries with no out-of-pocket expense to you as long as the at-fault party (person who hit you) has liability coverage.
If they are not insured, you should check to see if you have “uninsured motorist” on your policy. This is also an additional option of coverage similar to med-pay, which can pay for your medical expenses and anyone else’s who was in your vehicle when the accident occurred, if the at-fault party does not have insurance.
We will verify your auto insurance coverage for you and directly bill your insurance for care in our office at no cost to you if you have medical payment coverage. Your insurance company would collect this money back from the at-fault party at the end of treatment.
